DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy

Not A Court Of Law ("NACOL") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to valid claims of copyright infringement.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on NACOL infringes your copyright, please send a written notification ("DMCA Notice") to our designated DMCA agent containing all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work(s) you claim has been infringed. If multiple works, a representative list.
  3. Identification of the specific content on NACOL you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., the URL of the case page).
  4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

We will process valid notices within 10 business days.

Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@notacourtoflaw.com containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed content and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your location, or if outside the US, any jurisdiction where NACOL may be found.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat Infringers

NACOL will terminate the accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
