Who ate the last slice of pizza?

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza for movie night. When I went to grab the last slice, it was gone. Jane claims she paid for half the pizza so she was entitled to it.

👤 John Doe
I specifically asked to save the last slice because I was still hungry. Jane just grabbed it without asking. It is a matter of basic courtesy.
VS
👤 Jane Smith
I paid for half the pizza AND the delivery fee. If anything, John owes me $5. The last slice was fair game.

Official NACOL Ruling

**OFFICIAL RULING OF NOT A COURT OF LAW**

This court finds in favor of Plaintiff John Doe by a decisive margin of 56% to 34% (with 10% of jurors presumably distracted by hunger), thereby establishing that verbal dibs on pizza constitute a binding oral contract that supersedes all property rights conferred by financial contribution. The Defendant's assertion that payment grants pizza dominion is hereby rejected as the kind of capitalist nonsense that has destroyed friendships since the invention of the delivery fee. Case closed.

Yes! I said it out loud before she grabbed it.
